Our Story

Mion was founded in August 2022, by a group of young Vietnamese who had lived and worked in different parts of the world — including Australia, the United States, and Japan.

We are simply a group of friends, brought together by a shared passion: a love for food, for genuine service, and for people.

In the end, we chose to begin Mion together — a place where we could express that love through every dish we create.

Here, we have been fortunate to receive warmth and support from our guests, to be heard, to be guided, and to grow through those meaningful connections.

The name Mion started with a simple meaning — “pasta.”
It reflects a dish we deeply love: rich, flavorful noodles coated in sauce, paired with fresh ingredients sourced from local markets.

It is this blend of familiar ingredients and multicultural inspiration that gives us the feeling of meeting friends from all around the world.

And from that, Mion carries a spirit: “Everyone is a friend.”

We hope to create a space where people can connect, share, and experience a sense of closeness through food.

Beyond serving our guests, Mion is also a place where young individuals can open their hearts, learn, and freely grow into themselves.

We are building a working environment grounded in care – support – and discipline,
where a unique culture is shaped, a distinct identity is formed, and a lasting impression is created.

Rooted in identity – Evolving through fusion

The Thai Story at Mion

In March 2023, as our youthful journey began to mature, Mion also faced its first real challenges.

At that time, our offerings were still new, not yet easy for local guests to connect with.
Amid a difficult period in business, we had the chance to meet a friend — an experienced chef in Thai cuisine.

With a genuine desire to serve food made with care, he chose to walk alongside Mion,
helping us shape dishes that are true to Thai identity — bold in flavor, yet refined and approachable.

From him, we learned more than just recipes. We learned how to respect each ingredient, to be thoughtful in sourcing, and to value every detail in Thai culinary techniques.

At that moment, Mion felt as if it had come back to life.

We began reconnecting with our guests, receiving support and encouragement, and most importantly — we found a way to bring Thai flavors closer to the Vietnamese palate, while still preserving their original soul.

From there, Mion continued its journey.

Alongside Thai cuisine, we develop modern Italian dishes, constantly learning, evolving,
and telling our own stories through each creation.

Every dish carries a message, an emotion, and a sincere expression of care.

The spirit of Mion has always been: warm, open, and supportive.

Because to us, this is the simple happiness we wish to share — in how we live, how we work, and in our love for the place we call home.
